Christmas time again

It’s Christmas time again and here in the Midwest it hasn’t snowed very much and in fact the streets are dry.  What we have had is a lot of fog these last couple of weeks.

No matter, it is still Christmas time and it is a wonderful time to gather with family and friends.   The thing that I really like about this time is that for a little while people seem to calm down and relax.  It’s wonderful the acts of kindness that occur this time of year.  Selfless acts of kindness that people do and expect  nothing in return.  I was riding down the neighborhood street and got a flat tire once.  This young man came out and said, “I’ll fix it for you.  He did, too.  I tried to give him some money for it, I even insisted on giving him some money for it.  He just said, “Oh no.  It’s Christmastime.  Merry Christmas”, and walked away.  A wonderful spirit.

Let’s keep that selfless spirit throughout the year, even if you don’t celebrate Christmas.  A selfless and kind spirit doesn’t need a holiday to show it.

I’m here for you.
